Where did this week go?

I just had one of those weeks. The kind where you look around you and realize that it is Saturday morning and you don't have to leave the house. One of those weeks where there were too many full speed runs to the bus in the morning. The kind where you fall asleep wherever you sit still for more than 10 minutes.

I started back to work this week. Not officially in my new job, but filling in while the person who does the job now is on holiday. Two more days next week and then I have the rest of the week off before starting in my official capacity on the 20th. This week has been a good practice run for our new routine. Next week the kids are on half term break (They get a week off every term half way through. I really like this part of the scheduling here.)so it should be a nice chance to settle in a bit more to the new house. They haven't had more than a weekend off since we moved into the new house. Oh, and valentines is next week. Not a big deal for me, but Dylan has her first sweetheart on v-day so it is quite the 'to-do' round these parts. Makes me realize what a cynic I have become. Ok, that I have always been. Adding it to my list of things to do The Work on. Yep, still loving Byron Katie!

Ah, yes... the housewarming party. It was a smashing success. Yes, I said smashing. They say that here, ya know. I have uploaded pictures, but I need to write clever titles and notes about them. The party itself will get its own entry in the very near future. All my fears were for nought and it was a blast! In the words of one of the guests (one of the very small minority of the guests who is actually is from England) "I have lived here most of my life and I have never been to a party like this!"

Yesssssssssss!
