I love this time of year! I get such a burst of creative energy when the sun shines warm on me.

Gardening - sticking my hands in the dirt, witnessing the immense power of a tiny seed to grow into food for our table, herbs for our healing, and flowers for our pleasure.
More needle felted goddesses to be available for sale soon. I just received my felters bag of candy today and I am set to go! Dylan is learning how to needle felt too. She made her own strawberry design that was just as cute as can be, and very well detailed. She is hoping to lead a workshop on needle felting when she attends Not Back To School Camp later this summer. Tonight she sat with me and watched while I worked on some bags I am making to sell. I am raising funds to pay the tuition and airfare to my advanced Birthing From Within training. I really want to get my certification before we move out of the country next year. And the thought of spending a week at Ghost Ranch in October with a group of women coming together to learn how to mentor birthing women in their right of passage......~*~*~*Heaven!*~*~*~

Here are some pictures of some things I have been making...

Here is a bag I just finished today. As of this entry time it is still for sale ($25 plus shipping) but I am thinking it will go pretty quickly... A deep super soft blue velveteen with moon and star applique. Coordinating blue celestial lining with 2 pockets. Shoulder Sling Style Bag

This one is sold, and I have an order to make another one. I have enought fabric to make one more after that I think. I love this fabric!

I made this little fun flag both for the 4th of July to show what Independence means to me....

It looks great on my RED front door!

I have about 15 bags in the works so look for them to come soon!

Oh, and I am also working on a really cool trade for a logo and website design that I am making. It is for a bodyworker so I am going to be set with massage and reiki and all kinds of good stuff! coolio!

With all the kids activities on top of my projects we are one seriously busy family this summer. But we are having a blast, and it seems like we somehow manage to find time for just sitting back and enjoying life. Of course the house is a terrible mess, but I prefer to think of it as well loved. Our garden is coming along quite nicely and I look forward to a bountiful harvest later in the season. Axel just finished building sandbox for Anja out of wood that we salvaged from our neighbors old fence. She is in heaven digging in her sandbox while I dig in my garden!

Summer time....and the livin' is easy.....
